Alfred Elliott Bissell (February 11, 1903 - February 25, 1975) was a member of the Horace Walpole Society, elected in 1969.
Alfred Elliott Bissell was born on 8 February 1903, in Delaware, the son of George Perkins Bissell Sr. (1872-1952), and Jessie Lane Elliott (1876–1953). He lived in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware, in 1920. He married Julia duPont Andrews (1907–1994) in 1929. Their children are: Julia Du Pont Bissell (born 1930), Antonia Valerie Bissell (born 1932), Alfred Elliott Bissell, Jr (born 1937) and Susan Patton Bissell (born 1942).
He died on 25 February 1975, at the age of 72, and was buried in Du Pont De Nemours Cemetery, Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware, United States.
