Clarence H. Knapp (1878 - September 11, 1961) was mayor ot Saratoga Sprins rrom 1923 to 1927. He was a close friend of Monty Woolley.
Knapp was born in Saratoga Springs, son of Adelbert P. Knapp. His father had served as president of Saratoga when it was village.
Knapp was educated in Spa City public schools and a graduate of Cornell University and Albany Law School. He a member ot the Saratoga County Bar Assn. At one time he was in charge of the Bureau Publications and Records in the Secretary of Stale's of office.
Knapp was a former Democratic state commilteeman from Saratoga County. He was appointed, in 1927 as a condemnation commissioner to affix values of lands required for Saratoga Reservoir. He also gained renown as an author and actor.
