Husband Frank Anthony Polito

Frank Anthony Polito is an American author and playwright. His novel Band Fags! was named "Best Fiction" by the InsightOut Book Club, and the follow up Drama Queers! received the Lambda Literary Award as “Best Gay Romance.” Polito is engaged to Craig Bentley (born November 21, 1969), an American actor and spokesperson. He appeared in the National Tour of David Sedaris’ The Santaland Diaries and in Polito's award-winning play, Another Day on Willow St. Bentley and Polito met as students in the Theatre Department at Wayne State University in Detroit. They have been a couple since December 23, 1989. Polito chronicled their budding romance in his novella A Christmas to Remember, as published in the 2011 anthology Remembering Christmas. After living in New York City for over 18 years, Bentley and Polito currently reside in historic Pleasant Ridge, MI. They look forward to their next quarter century together and plan to marry if Michigan passes Marriage Equality.
