Dick Swidde - WikipedyDick Swidde (Purmerend, August 16, 1906 - Amsterdam, July 29, 1988) was a Dutch actor, who derived his greatest fame from his role as Buurman Boordevol, also known as the "Boze Buurman", in the tv-series Ja zuster, nee zuster (1966-1968) by Annie M.G. Schmidt.

Swidde, son of a purmerend fireplacesmith, started his acting career at the local operetta association. In the 1930s he got small roles as a volontair with the company of Cor Ruys, with whom he also worked afterwards. After commitments with other companies, such as The Centraal Toneel, he was offered a permanent contract with the Nederlandse Comedie in 1950, to which he remained connected until its dissolution in 1971. Swidde was considered a good second plan actor, who knew how to turn small roles into something special. Dick Swidde also wrote cabaret texts, including for Wim Sonneveld.
