Ellen Bækgaard (1895–1982) was a dentist from Copenhagen and a World League of Sexual Reform (WLSR) committee member, who had motherly affection for Karl Giese, Magnus Hirschfeld's longtime partner.

Bækgaard often stayed at the institute and had known the transsexual Dorchen, perhaps the first operated transsexual in the world.
