James Belchamber
(March 12, 1926 - November 26, 2019) was an actor, known for The Avengers (1961), Great Expectations (1981) and Softly Softly (1966).
In 2006 he registered in a civil partnership with Bernard Archard. They had been together for nearly 60 years.
James Belchamber was born in Haselmere, Surrey, England on 12 March 1926. He was an actor, most notable for his roles on television and film. James attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1943, and then served in the Royal Armoured Corps from 1944 until 1948.
James died on 26 November 2019, at the age of 93, from pneumonia contracted following leg surgery.
