Neil Flanagan (May 3, 1934 - June 6, 1986) was an actor and director who won an Obie award in 1967 for his starring role in Lanford Wilson's ''Madness of Lady Bright.'' Flanagan won a second Obie Award in 1976 for his contributions over a 10-year period to Off Off Broadway theater. He also performed in ''Knock, Knock'' by Jules Feiffer, ''The Secret Affairs of Mildred Wild'' by Paul Zindel, Art Buchwald's ''Sheep on the Runway,'' and a number of other Off and Off Off Broadway plays.
Born in Springfield, Ill., and raised in St. Louis, Flanagan came to New York in 1955. His first major role was in ''The Madness of Lady Bright,'' playing Lady Bright.
Flanagan died on June 6, 1986, at his home in Los Angeles, where he had lived since 1977. Flanagan, who was 52 years old, suffered from AIDS, according to his family.
