Nina Bevan Jenney (April, 1868 - September 27, 1937) was the wife of William Sherman Jenney, vice president and general counsel of the Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Railroad Company. She was a member of the Heterodoxy Club. She was the sister in law of Marie Jenney Howe.
Mr. and Mrs. Jenney were married in 1895 in Syracuse, N. Y. She had one son, Sherman Jenney, of New York City; and two daughters, Betty Richards (1908-2000), married Frederick Ayer 2d. of Locust Valley, and Nina Dean (1896-1976), married Hector Bellinetti of New York City.
In 1917 they lived at 11 E. 68th St, Manhattan. In 1935 the family's New York home was at 30 E. 71st St., Manhattan. They were summer residents of East Hampton for many years.
Mrs. Jenney was a member of the board of managers of the East Hampton library and also was a member of the East Hampton Garden Club.
She was a sister of Dr. Arthur Dean Bevan, a noted Chicago surgeon, who formerly was president of the American Surgical Society.
She died at the Jenney Summer estate on Egypt Lane, East Hampton, Little Close. She had suffered a stroke six months before, followed by another the day before she died. Burial was at Cedar Lawn Cemetery, East Hamilton.
