Leonard Henry Green (October 8, 1885 - 1966) was an Uranian poet and corresponded with E. M. Forster. Leonard Henry Green served in the Royal Warwickshire regiment in World War I where he met and fell in love with a fellow officer, Eric (later—pretentiously—Erik) Arnold.Years later, Arnold was to kill himself by throwing himself under a tube-train at Trafalgar Square station.

Leonard Henry Green was born on 8 October 1885. He was the son of John Theodore Green and Florence Ann Frances Christian. John Theodore Green was born circa 1852 at Normanton-le-Heath, Leicestershire. He was the son of Reverend J. H. B. Green. He married Florence Ann Frances Christian, daughter of Samuel Christian and Frances Emily Mellor, in December 1882. He died on 30 October 1947 at Abergele, Flintshire, Wales. Children of John Theodore Green and Florence Ann Frances Christian: Leonard Henry Green, Constance Marjorie Mortimer Green (born 1888) and Brigadier Valentine Christian Green (born 1891).
